Stocks to watch on Wednesday: Novavax (NVAX) - a while back my view became more constructive on this small biotech after holding above $1 and attempting to rally. The stock surged an incredible 27% on news of hosting a conference on July 24 after the market close. The market will focus on the Phase 2 data, but the company really needs positive Phase 3 results for Prepare to show the ability to get a vaccine approved. If you missed the rally, be careful that a secondary is rushed out on a rally in order to fund an eventual Phase 3 trial for the key RSV F vaccine in older adults. All assuming the news on these trial results are positive. Blue Apron (APRN) - keep an eye on this stock. The news that Amazon (AMZN) has already moved into the meal-kit sector is bad for the sector, but not necessarily horrible for Blue Apron. Still not convinced that Amazon can provide the experiences that consumers are looking for that go far beyond fast delivery. As well, Amazon will help eliminate the other competitors. Yelp (YELP) - the consumer review site is starting to gain some legs.
